An Idaho man has started a new business; and it’s a smashing good idea.

Tom Farrenkopf is the owner of “Das Breakroom.” He says the sole purpose is to provide a place for people to engage in recreational destruction. Basically it’s a place for you to come in and break stuff. And there’s nothing that’s off limits.

The business offers you everything from dishes to appliances to panes of glass to smash. One customer says it’s a great idea and a good form of therapy. She says after a frustrating week she headed over and destroyed an entire box of stuff. After about ten minutes she says she felt perfectly fine.  read more »

Migrating to Mars

Want to become a star; of another planet?

A new reality show is in the works. Like others in production it will take a group of strangers and throw them into an unknown environment; in this case a different planet. That is the idea from the privately funded Dutch company Mars One.

The company says they can establish a settlement on the red planet by 2023. First they plan on sending rovers to stake out some prime real estate and build out living units. Then in 2022 four astronauts will take the seven month trip to Mars and settle into their new home; with the intention of staying there for the remainder of their lives. Every two years after that a new group will join the settlement to help populate the colony.  read more »

Las Vegas based Bigelow Aerospace is hiring and the only qualifications you need are a love for dried food and past experience, in space.

NASA’s shuttle fleet is scheduled to be retired at the end of this year. And with no plans for a successor, thousands of workers are expected to be laid off, including astronauts. And of the 500 astronauts with space flight experience Bigelow Aerospace is looking to hire about 45 space walkers to staff an orbital space complex.  read more »
