Despite winning the white house; it looks like President Trump is still struggling with the popular vote.

Recently the New York Times visited a number of Washington DC gift shops to see how well items with the president's likeness were selling. And according to store owners besides the red “make America great” hats the numbers aren't much to brag about. Overall sales in the first six months of Trump's presidency are 13% below those of the first six months after Obama’s inauguration. But owners acknowledge that it would have been tough for anyone to surpass the numbers of the first African American president.  read more »

The President's Tax Plan

President trump just marked one hundred days in office and the critiques are coming in.

Earlier this week the president brought up the idea of raising the federal gas tax, something that has not been raised since 1993. And like most of the president's proposal reaction is mixed. Just when you thought your taxes will go down under President Trump, along comes a way to stifle your enthusiasm.

President Trump wants big tax cuts on corporations and individuals. Now some enterprising state and local politicians are hoping to create new ways to take your tax savings back. According to the San Francisco Chronicle, the city's board of supervisors will vote next week on a resolution urging the California legislature to amend state law to allow cities and local governments to impose personal and corporate income taxes.  read more »
