The Irish Economy


The Irish economy is moving up and it's getting a boost from the city by the bay.

Christoph Mueller is the CEO of Aer Lingus; an airline that is now offering direct flights between Ireland and San Francisco.

Ireland is flying back onto the world stage; and they’re using San Francisco to get there.

Last week the Irish airline Aer Lingus marked its return to San Francisco international airport. This is the first time the airline has touched down here since the dark days of the 2009 recession. San Francisco mayor Ed Lee was there and happy to welcome the airline back to the bay area.

“They made the right decision they’re actually referred to in Dublin as the innovation capital in Europe they got home base to some tech companies and now they’re flying directly to the innovation capitol over here.”  read more »
