The world of cyber space is getting its own police department.
Following the recent hackings into Sony, Anthem, Target and of course the U.S. government the Obama administration is taking action. Earlier this week it announced the creation of the Cyber Threat Intelligence Integration Center. Its job will be to connect the dots between various cyber threats to the country so that affected agencies are notified as quickly as possible and can take action.
Right now various agencies including the National Security Agency, FBI and CIA have their own cyber security procedures in place but this will connect them all. Tech security experts say this is important because in today's world there are so many different pieces of intelligence coming in, they need to be properly monitored and handled. This way no potential threats to companies and customers can slip through the cracks. Plus companies are being encouraged to work with the new agency and inform it of any attempted hacks.
Over the past couple years online shopping has taken customers out of actual stores. Until now the only thing missing was a security guard.
